El Cotillo Walk Video – May 2023

by

Updated:

I had a walk right through El Cotillo from Playa de la Concha through to the Toston Tower overlooking the Surfer’s Beach (Piedra Playa) towards the end of May.

I show the progress of the building development near the Cotillo Beach Hotel and any other new developments, such as the opening of the Nana Cocktail Bar and the sad closure of the Seahorse Sports Bar.

    Hi John.
We are coming to El Cotillo next week for our second holiday here this year.
Whilst this is not critical I wondered if you could tell me where I can catch the football with the Seahorse now closed.
Also has Pescadores restaurant reopened as yet.
Your information and videos have been extremely useful, Thankyou

Hi Michael. Not being a football fan (at all) I am not sure. I can’t think of a bar that might show British football apart from perhaps the Toston but they are closed for August anyway. I walked past the Pescadores this morning and they are now open. Have you been to Cotillo in August before? It is always much noiser in August – particularly when the Fiesta starts (probably around 18th)

    Vandals Have Destroyed the Labyrinth

Yes, that’s right. Vandals have totally destroyed the labyrinth in the hills above the beaches of El Cotillo. In this case, the vandals were the La Oliva Ayuntamiento (Town Hall) themselves. It was built in 1999 by Wolf Patton and has not harmed anything in those 25 years. Of course, as is usually the case,…
