There are many apartments to rent in El Cotillo for self-catering holidays. To make your choice easier and more informed, I have used my local knowledge to select some of the best El Cotillo holiday apartments available.
Many of these El Cotillo apartments for rent have sea views, and some are right on the lagoon beaches. Others are located in quiet parts of El Cotillo village, but nowhere is more than a minute or two walk to the sea anyway.
Some El Cotillo holiday lettings are in small complexes, while others are independently owned and rented by their owners.
Winter is high season here, and many come for extended stays of 3 weeks or more, so El Cotillo accommodation is sought after during this period.

Marfolin Apartments El Cotillo
The Marfolin apartments are relatively new, modern-designed apartments and are popular with apartment renters (in fact, we stayed in the large one on the end to the right of the picture on our honeymoon in 2008).
All of the upper apartments have fabulous sea views towards the lagoons. The apartments on the lower floor have access straight to the pool area.
There is a large pool and a children’s pool with showers and sunbeds. There is direct access to the beach from the pool area.
A selection of restaurants and other shops are on the street side of the apartments. These apartments in El Cotillo Fuerteventura are only a few minutes walk into the heart of the village.
Marfolin 14 ground floor 2 bedroom apartment
Large terrace with comfortable seating for 5 people and 2 sun loungers. Cozy living/dining area with a fully equipped kitchen. Both bedrooms are up a flight of stairs and have a direct view of the beach and the sea.
Marfolin 19 – 2 bedroom apartment
There are two bedrooms with a spacious open-plan lounge and a well-equipped kitchen. Double and twin bedroom and two bathrooms. The Huge sun terrace is private with great sea and swimming pool views.
Marfolin 29, 2 bedroom apartment with large roof terrace
Super king size double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, toaster etc. It has a lovely roof terrace with views of the beaches and the village.
Marfolin 35 – 3 Bedroom Penthouse
Master double bedroom with en-suite, another double and a twin bedroom. The fully equipped kitchen has brand new high-spec appliances. Lovely dual-aspect roof terrace with table, chairs, and sun loungers.

El Balcon Apartments
The El Balcon apartments are a two-story development of one-bedroom units set in some gardens on the first lagoon beach. They are fairly small but very quiet and great if you love the beach.
My wife and I stayed in one for a holiday a few years ago. My morning routine was to get up, make myself a coffee and then walk down the beach to stand in the sea while drinking it.
There are some restaurants/cafes under the Marfolin apartments next door and it is just a few minutes walk into the main part of the village to the bars and restaurants there.
One bedroom 1st floor apartment – front line to the beach (1)
First-floor, one-bedroom apartment in the El Balcon complex with amazing views straight onto the Los Lagos beach. Microwave, coffee maker, iron, hair dryer, Wi-Fi, and TV. The apartment has a nice terrace to watch the sea and the sunsets.
Ground floor with nice terrace “Casa La Piedra”
Ground floor one-bedroom apartment with a nice terrace. The bedroom can be made up as a double or two singles. It has a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, sink and washing machine.

Oliastur Apartments
The Oliastur apartment block is situated very close to the old harbour so very convenient for the local bars and restaurants, but still quiet. There are views of the old harbour from the rooftop terrace area and past the lagoon beaches to the lighthouse.
The roof terrace has a swimming pool, sun loungers and showers.
Apartment 12, two bedrooms, one bathroom
One double and one twin bedroom. Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven, coffee machine, kettle, full kitchenware, bed linen and towels, ironing board, coffee maker, internet, TV and Satellite.
Apartment 25 Casa Mika – 3 bedrooms
Three bedrooms, living room, separate kitchen and two bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen, towels, bed linen, wifi, sat tv and sea view from the master bedroom. The only 3 bedroom apartment with a balcony. There is also a lift.
3 Bedroom Oliastur apartment

Cotillo Ocean View Apartments
This entire apartment complex is located right on the old harbour. The apartments are all available for holiday lets and range from studio to 3-bedroom apartments, with at least half having great sea views.
All apartments have a kitchen, bathroom, microwave, coffee maker, and flat-screen TV. Free wifi is also available in all apartments.
There is a nice rooftop swimming pool with great sea views. It is just a minute or two walk to bars and restaurants, with one restaurant on-site (The Piedra Alto bar/restaurant).

Cotillo Sunset Apartments
These apartments are set right on the first of the lagoon beaches. There are 33 studio apartments, all with private terraces or balconies. 16 apartments have direct sea views.
Outside is a swimming pool, children’s pool, and jacuzzi. There is direct access straight onto the beach.
The apartments have been completely refurbished during the lockdown in 2020. They all have flat-screen tvs with international channels.

Old Harbour area
The old harbour is a traffic free area with some lovely bars and restaurants to choose from. Obviously with some great views out to sea.

This has to be one of the nicest El Cotillo apartments to rent. The terrace is over 45m². Spacious open plan lounge, modern fully fitted kitchen with black polished granite work surfaces, including 4-ring ceramic hob, oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, iron & board and everything else you may need.
The master bedroom a double bed, fitted wardrobe and fantastic ocean views. Second bedroom with two single beds, fitted wardrobe and en-suite. The bathrooms are fully tiled, one with a walk-in shower and one with a whirlpool bathtub, WC, bidet, and sink in a vanity unit.
Northern lagoons end of El Cotillo
This is the area on the way to the lagoon beaches and the lighthouse. Perfect for a short walk to get to the beaches but also the same into the heart of the village and the old harbour area with its bars and restaurants.

New harbour area
The new harbour area of El Cotillo is in the south of the village. There are some good restaurants and the Seahorse sports bar in this area.

A beautiful, modern duplex apartment with great sea views opposite the Toston Tower.
A double, also with great views, and a twin bedroom.

The SunsetView apartment sleeps 2-4 people, has recently been refurbished, and offers a balcony and free WiFi in all areas.

Tao Apartments El Cotillo is a complex of one- and two-bedroom apartments set around a pool next to the Superdino supermarket. Each spacious apartment has a living area with a flat-screen TV. The kitchenette has an oven and an electric hob.
